Iceland Mariposa butterfly chair was originally designed back in 1938 by three designers for the Swedish brand Cuero. It's now a classic piece of design thats available in many different finishes from its original leather origins. The chair comes flat packed in a compact box that quickly goes together in 4 steel pieces that connect together via the rubber floor feet.

Lars Kjerstadius of Cuero came across a classical Argentinian design. The “Butterfly Chair” consisted of leather and steel and was originally thought of as a fusion between craftsmanship and industrial production. Lars’ admiration for this beautiful design and concept led him to dedicate ten years of his life to improving its comfort and style. Mariposa, meaning butterfly in Spanish, is the result of an attempt to create a butterfly chair adapted for the modern inhabitants of the 21 st century.

This sheepskin version comes from the rugged landscapes and pure air of Iceland. Admired for their fantastic wool, and beautiful colours, the skins are tanned ecologically keeping the colours completely natural.

Please note that due to the natural colouring process each skin will be slightly different to the next and some black versions may be slightly brown.

All of our stocked items are shipped on a 48 hour tracked service within the UK. 

World wide shipping is fully tracked and delivery times are dependant on available services. 

International customers will be liable to pay customs and duties once your order reaches your country's border.

All lead times quoted are for delivery to mainland UK, if ordering outside of this area there will be an additional transit time relevant to your destination.

US customers will be subject to additional tariffs as well as import duties and tax. Our team will be in touch after your order has been placed to confirm the individual tariff rates for each item. Orders will not be processed until you have confirmed that you accept the tariff rates and give consent for the order to be shipped.

Our returns policy lasts for 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase has been delivered, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

Goods / Returns must be received to Dyke & Dean within 14 days of being delivered to you. If Goods / Returns are received after this we will not issue a refund. Notification to our office of your return via telephone, email, fax and or letter within 14 days does not mean a refund will be given. A refund will only be reviewed if the Goods / Returns are received within 14 days to our possession.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Customers are responsible for the delivery costs of returning the goods. 

Bespoke/Made to order products, cut lengths of fabric cable under 100m and Outlet items are non-returnable.
