SE18 FOLDING CHAIR STAINED WOOD
The now iconic German folding chair has been in production since 1952 and should be considered a long lasting classic. The SE18 Folding chair won The Good Design Award at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1953 and the silver medal at the Triennale in Milan in 1954. Designed by Egon Eiermann "The chair is a complicated object. Anyone who has ever tried to design a chair knows this. There are endless possibilities and many problems - the chair must be lightweight, it must be strong and comfortable at the same time.It is almost easier to build a high-rise than a cha". The factory is located just outside of Stuttgart where every piece is still manufactured by hand with traditional tooling techniques. Wilde+Spieth has been making functional furniture for bars, orchestra's, restaurants, hotels and general households for decades.
Constructed from solid beech wood and steel sub straits. Natural beech finished with a clear lacquer and colours with a stained wood finish. The chair is a great all-rounder and can be made in several different finishes. Please choose in the drop down menu.
