La tecnica del legno curvato perfezionata da Michael Thonet è stata fonte di ispirazione per gli esperimenti di Marcel Breuer con l’acciaio tubolare piegato.
Da questa idea è nato il set di quattro tavoli B 9. I tavolini possono essere utilizzati in diversi modi: come tavolini laterali in gruppi di sedute, come pratici piani d'appoggio o come luogo perfetto per un vaso con fiori freschi. Dopo aver utilizzato i tavoli, possono essere facilmente spostati uno sotto l'altro in modo da risparmiare spazio. La particolarità di questa serie è la sua semplicità funzionale: i tavolini sono costituiti solo da tubolari d'acciaio piegati cromati e pannelli rettangolari.
Durante la sua permanenza al Bauhaus, Marcel Breuer sperimentò l'acciaio e il tubolare d'acciaio, un materiale nuovo e promettente per i mobili. Lo stretto scambio con il produttore di aerei Junkers a Dessau ha accelerato il processo di sviluppo. I suoi primi progetti includevano i tavolini B 9 e vari scaffali e mobili laterali. Il catalogo Thonet del 1930/31 comprendeva già l'intera gamma di prodotti. Breuer progettò originariamente la B 9 per la caffetteria dell'edificio Bauhaus a Dessau. Il tavolino, piccolo e versatile, venne utilizzato anche negli appartamenti degli studenti e nelle case padronali di Walter Gropius.

Our returns policy lasts for 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase has been delivered, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
Goods / Returns must be received to Dyke & Dean within 14 days of being delivered to you. If Goods / Returns are received after this we will not issue a refund. Notification to our office of your return via telephone, email, fax and or letter within 14 days does not mean a refund will be given. A refund will only be reviewed if the Goods / Returns are received within 14 days to our possession.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Customers are responsible for the delivery costs of returning the goods.
